ESS optimized ECU software is a result of 100's of dyno runs and exact calibration of all parameters to allow maximum performance gains with improved driveability/fuel consumption.
When ordering this product you will receive 1 ESS DirectFlash handheld programmer which will VIN lock to your car. This unit can be used to program between stock and tuned, and it can also be used to load custom files/updates received from ESS over email. The ESS DirectFlash unit can hold up to 10 tunes + stock, allowing the end user full control over what program they want to run at any given time.

My dad has owned a 535d for 3 years now, and has been thinking of getting a new car for a few months now. But I tipped him about chiptuning, and this caught his interest, eventhough we were both a bit skeptical, we read on different forums, and concluded esstuning.com was the right one for him.
My dad has emigrated from Norway to Spain, so I were to order from Norway and bring it down to him on my vacation.
From order to delivery it only took 3 business days, very good.
When in Spain we were eager to get started, so we defied the recommendation of attaching a battery charger. And it went perfectly OK regardless.
The car is originally VERY powerful with its 3.0L twin turbo and 272 HP, so we weren't sure how much better/faster it could get...
But we had a pleasant surprise ahead of us. After a quick and flawless installation, it was time for the test-drive.
On our way to the spanish autostradas, my dad carefully tested the throttle respons, and after a short sprint, i thought felt a difference in the acceleration, but when he told me he had barely touched the pedal, we started to realize that the project was a success:-)
On the highway the car seemed to have limitless powers. On a 120 - 200km/h sprint, the car shifted from 4th to 5th at about 180km/h, and at 5th gear and 180km/h the acceleration was still grotesque. Incredible!!
I have ordered the new X3 F25, 30d, and cant wait until esstuning has developed a tuning-kit for it:-) I hope I can write the same reviews then
