The ESS E-Flash OBD2 programming system allows the end user to upload the ECU tuning software directly to the car from any PC running Windows XP or newer. The system also includes full diagnostic and code clearing capability. Any future ESS software updates can be received by email and loaded directly to the car. The stock ECU software will be saved and can easily be restored in the future.
ESS Normal Aspiration optimized ECU software is a result of 100's of dyno runs and exact calibration of all parameters to allow maximum performance gains with improved driveability/fuel consumption and stock engine longevity. Removed top speed governor is included, and you have the option of stock RPM limit or up to 9000RPM, default setting from ESS is 8200 unless otherwise instructed.
Power is increased by 10-15 HP when programmed for premium fuel (91US/96Euro).
Throttle response programming is improved over stock.
EWS system delete available for S54 integration in other cars.
Euro software conversion is available for US spec cars with euro headers installed.
Custom tuning available on request, vanos timing programming for extreme camshafts also available.

I own a BMW shop, I have seen, driven and experienced several tunes from all over the US. I feel the tuners at ESS do a superb job of getting every once of power safely out of the S54. Thanks Roman!! Cant wait until I send out my S65 DME for them to work their magic on...

After reading great reviews from forum members on M3forum.net I decided to go for this flash. The flash filled in the low torgue curve and definately made a nice improvement. The car gets better gas mileage, and has just seemed to come alive. Not like the sport button, but more linear. I would HIGHLY recomend this flash!

I got the Euro tune for my cat-less setup. Before the tune the car felt sluggish and had some "dead spots", after the tune you immediately can feel that it has a stronger pull and those dead spots are eliminated, but it even get's better after 500-1000 miles. This is the best tune by far you wont regret buying it.

The reflash filled in the flat spots to make my powerband smooth,broader and gave me an enjoyable driving feel. Im running after market header and no cats with full upgraded pipes and exhaust.It's a night and day diffrence.
